Arctic Zero Frozen Dessert

Arctic Zero Frozen Dessert
[frozen]

$5.99

Alrighty, so when it comes down to it what you really wanna know is if Arctic Zero is worth the investment or not. While some ladies like to spend extra cash on new clothes or shoes, I splurge on this stuff. I mean, what's the point in having those new jeans if you need the assistance of pliers in order to get them zipped up or if you need a stick of butter (margarine or olive oil for the health conscious) to squeeze your feet into those new shoes. I'm a runner whose body constantly craves carbs. I love the fact that after an eight mile run I can grab an entire pint of ice cream (A WHOLE PINT!) that just happens to have 16g of whey protein concentrate, eight grams of fiber, and no fat instead of taking a detour into a doughnut shop. My taste buds declare that this stuff DOES taste like ice cream. Well, more like ice cream with the taste of half the sugar. I recommend putting the entire pint in the microwave for 20 seconds in order to get the desired creamy texture and consistency. Upon arrival it was frozen solid and the texture was that of an icey. This is where the nuking comes in. So it's all natural and only 150 calories or less per pint but how does it taste, you ask. I've purchased and tasted five of the flavors and their stats are as follows:

Chocolate: This was my favorite of the bunch. It pretty much tastes like chocolate ice cream. Not of the highest quality regarding taste, but what in the world do you expect!

Chocolate peanut butter: This was a very tricky flavor. When I first tried it I was grossed out. I thought it tasted like armpit. The following day I decided to give it another try because I hate wasting money and to my surprise I actually liked it! I think my initial reaction was caused by shock to my taste buds because I just wasn't used to the flavor. It has a very mild chocolate flavor with much more of a peanutty taste.

chocolate mint- This is basically the chocolate ice cream flavored with mint. Pretty good.

Vanilla maple- True to its name. It tastes like vanilla ice cream with maple flavor. If you're a fan of maple you'll enjoy this.

Strawberry banana- This one was interesting. You're either going to like it, tolerate it or curse the day you purchased it. It tastes like the cheapest strawberry ice cream you can think of with a teeny tiny hint of pepto-bismol. Somehow my brain has tricked me into liking this, so yay me!

Bottom line, if you're into eating "real" food and are trying to steer clear of harmful artificial sweeteners and other ingredients I can't pronounce then this is for you. If you are currently living a healthy lifestyle, are trying to, or just want less sugar in your life this is also for you. With Arctic Zero around I never have the craving for ice cream. I think it's something you just have to get used to. The initial flavor shock might be jarring but give it a chance. I went into my purchase having very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. So ladies (and gentlemen) eat right, get rid of those girdles and body shapers and start getting those bodies into shape. You won't regret this purchase or my name isn't Ryan McHigglepuff. (It isn't). (Why am I giving a thumbs up right now?)
